Jacob Tremblay, Jaeden Lieberher to Co-Star in Colin Trevorrow’s ‘Book of Henry'

Jacob Tremblay and Jaeden Lieberher have landed lead roles alongside Naomi Watts in Colin Trevorrow’s next pic “The Book of Henry.”

Focus Features has worldwide distribution rights and is overseeing the production.

Sidney Kimmel Entertainment is co-producing the film with Double Nickel Entertainment. Sidney Kimmel and Carla Hacken will produce via the Sidney Kimmel Entertainment banner, along with Double Nickel’s Jenette Kahn and Adam Richman. Plot details are being kept under wraps; bestselling novelist Gregg Hurwitz is penning the script.

Though Trevorrow was recently announced as the director of “Star Wars: Episode IX,” insiders say this will be his next film, with production set to start this fall in New York.

Given the project’s buzz, agents all over Hollywood were chasing the roles for their young thesps, but Tremblay’s and Lieberher’s screen tests won them the roles over other candidates.

Lieberher broke out last year in his role alongside Bill Murray in the Weinstein Co.’s “St. Vincent” and was also recently seen in Sony’s “Aloha.” Lieberher also has a key role in Jeff Nichols’ next film “Midnight Special” alongside Michael Shannon. He can also be seen in Showtime’s “Masters of Sex.” He is repped by CAA and DMC Management.

Tremblay can be seen next opposite Brie Larson in “Room,” which premieres at the Toronto Film Festival next month. He is repped by UTA, Play Management and Jackoway Tyerman.
