[Breaking News] Christian Bale and Koussay Khawli join Naomi in Werner Herzog's "The Queen of the Desert"

Naomi's new film "The Queen of the Desert" to be directed by Werner Herzog about the story of British explorer Gertrude Bell's involvment in the history of Iraq and the Middle East, is joined by British actor Christian Bale (of the Batman fame) and Syrian actor Koussay Khawli in its cast. The film is presently in the phase of development.

Syrian actor Koussay Khawli will be acting next to American actress Naomi Watts and British star Christian Bale in the new Hollywood movie “The Queen Of The Desert”.

Produced by Nick Ruslan, this movie shows the life of a British lady who came to the Middle East and was called “Lawrence, the Arabic lady” due to her strong political connections, and the many accomplished achievements during her many years in the region, some of which were achieving a primary and wide scan for the Arab region, spotting the borders of the Arab countries, and grossing the first Oxford certificate ever taken by a woman.

About his role, Khawly says that it will be his gate to international stardom, where he plays the role of “Ftouh”, the Arabic guide who accompanies Lawrence since her arrival, leading to a strong love affair that kept her attached to the Middle East for a long period of time.
