In 2008 the best horror film I have ever seen was released in the United States -- The Orphanage. And now that same writer-director duo is back again for The Impossible, starring big names Naomi Watts, Ewan McGregor, and Tom Holland.
In the interview below via Coming Soon, Watts, McGregor, and Holland discuss their roles in the film and the challenges of capturing the terrifying Thailand tsunami on camera. Writer Sergio G. Sanchez and director Juan Antonio Bayona previously showed with The Orphanage their true knack at exposing terror, so it's safe to expect their new film to hold the same atmosphere.
The Impossible opens in New York and L.A. December 21, and releases nationwide hopefully shortly after. Watch the cast interview below!
The film already released in Spain on October 11, has the highest grossing weekend in the country to date, and remained #1 three weekends in a row.
