Liev Schreiber Dishes About His First Encounter With Naomi Watts

Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts have been one Hollywood's hottest couples since they started dating in 2005.

Now The Defiance star spills to Life & Style about the first time he met her.

“I was having drinks with some friends and I saw her in the lobby at the Mercer Hotel," he reminisced to the mag. "We actually met years before at the Four Seasons in Toronto.”

On Tuesday night, stars gathered to promote Liev’s new Showtime series Ray Donovan, which was held at the Directors Guild of America in LA.

At the event, rumors were flying that it was actually Naomi who helped her man with his Boston accent to prepare for the new show.

“No she didn’t, she was in Australia..." he clarified. "And I’ve done it before. I went to school in Massachusetts.”

Accents aside, the couple is very happy together. Naomi and Liev, who have two sons Alexander, 5, and Samuel, 4, were spotted holding hands throughout the event while saying hello to old friends.

"He's just a solid guy and he's complex, which I love. And has a brilliant mind, which I am totally in awe of," Naomi has said about Liev. "And he's incredibly funny - you just have to laugh. For some people that's not such an important thing, but I need that. We understand each other very well and we're at very similar places in our lives."
