Further information on Naomi Watts' new movie "Three Generations"

Naomi Watts, Elle Fanning, Susan Sarandon team up for Three Generations


Scripted by Nikole Beckwith, the film's story is described as an exploration of identity and follows Ray (Fanning), a teenager in New York transitioning from a female to a male and her single mother Maggie (Watts), who is coming to terms with having to raise her only daughter like a son.

Sarandon will play Maggie's mother Dolly who faces a hard time understanding Ray's life-altering decision.

Directed by Gaby Dellal, the film is scheduled to go on the floors early Nov in New York.

New role looming for Naomi Watts (subject to confirmation)


IM Global lines up Three Generations

Naomi Watts will star alongside Susan Sarandon and Elle Fanning in the comedic drama that IM Global is bringing to the AFM.

Three Generations charts the interwoven lives of a New York teen transitioning from female to male, her single mother and lesbian music manager grandmother.

Gaby Dellal will direct from a screenplay by Nikole Beckwith. ICM Partners represents US rights. Big Beach co-founders Peter Saraf and Marc Turtletaub will produce with Dorothy Berwin of InFilm Productions.

Watts, currently shooting Demolition in New York for Jean-Marc Vallée, will serve as executive producer alongside Leah Holzer and Daniele Melia of Big Beach and Peter Pastorelli.

The beauty was back in work mode after Halloween Fete on Tue Oct 28, 2014, spotted strolling solo around set of her new film Demolition in New York City.
