Directed by Philippe Falardeau, The Bleeder tells the real-life story of Wepner, the journeyman underdog boxer who was 35 when he improbably pushed world champ Muhammad Ali to the limit in their 1975 title fight.
Naomi Watts, Schreiber’s real-life spouse, is aboard to play Wepner’s third wife Linda, who steered him through troubles after the Ali fight — which included a prison stint for cocaine possession — and ultimately to sobriety and redemption.
At the screening in Venice, Schreiber will receive the Persol Tribute to Visionary Talent Award 2016.

Excellent news. Guess they will attend together.
The Bleeder will also go to Venice as reported. Hope it will also be an Oscar participant.
