They may have just spent a sunshine break in Australia, but there were certainly no surfboards or bikinis on display for Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts today.The couple wrapped up warm in big padded coats, hats and scarves as they took their two young children for a family day out in New York City.
Naomi, 42, and Liev Schreiber, 43, strolled along the streets of the SoHo district with sons Samuel, two, and three-year-old Alexander contained in a handy double pushchair.
The children, who were wearing warm gilets and woolly hats, looked like they were looking forward to their trip to The Children's Museum.
Yesterday, she also took her sons out and about in the city, but this time, without her partner of nearly six years.
And she looked like she was having a fun day, giving little Samuel a piggy back ride.
Naomi revealed last year that she finds it tricky to balance being a parent with the demands of her career as an actress.
'Every single day, I second-guess myself as a mother,' she told Blackbook magazine.
'I chose to be a mom. It's something I've always wanted, but I feel torn between two worlds. I am not reaching the same depths and heights that I used to reach in movies because I'm a parent of two small children who desperately need me.'
'It's frustrating because I feel like I'm failing a bit on both ends.'
However, she has recently been linked to star in the new Batman film The Dark Knight Rises as love interest Vicki Vale.
The movie, which will again star Christian Bale as the superhero, will also feature Anne Hathaway as Catwoman and British actor Tom Hardy as the villain Bane.
The film is set to start filming later in 2011 for release next year.
