As for the future, McGregor recently wrapped The Impossible, a drama co-starring Naomi Watts.
“It’s some really nice work,” he says. “It’s a true story of a Spanish family who were caught in the 2004 tsunami in Thailand. It was a very sensitive story for us to tell, and a unique filming experience.
“More than anything, I felt very responsible to make the film very real,” McGregor says. “I didn’t want it to feel like a movie. I know that sounds odd, but, if any moment felt like a movie sequence to me, I wasn’t happy. I was very careful and even challenged the director. I didn’t want to use a real disaster that affected people’s lives as the backdrop for a movie.
“It’s a real horrible piece of history and, if you’re going to make a film about it, you truly have to be responsible.”

Ewan and Naomi make a good pair. They were in "Stay" before and it was a great film.
