PALM DESERT — A screening of “The Impossible” at Cinemas Palme d’Or on Saturday will raise money for victims of superstorm Sandy, the Palm Desert theater announced.
All proceeds from the screening of Juan Antonio Bayona’s movie will benefit the Red Cross and storm victims, according to the theater. The screening is at 6:45 p.m. at Cinemas Palme d’Or, 72-840 Highway 111.
The film stars Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor and is about a family vacationing in Thailand caught in the 2004 tsunami that devastated southeast Asia.
