[Newscast] Naomi Watts' Adore hits Theatres and VOD on September 6

Paramount Home Media Distribution (PHMD) has confirmed with us that the drama ‘Adore’ will be available via VOD in the United States beginning September 6, 2013, the same day the film will debut in theaters from Exclusive Media. Starring
Naomi Watts and Robin Wright, the film marks the English-language directorial debut of Anne Fontaine (Coco Before Chanel) and was written for the screen by Academy Award-winner Christopher Hampton (Best Adapted Screenplay, Dangerous Liaisons, 1988), based on the novel by Nobel Prize for Literature winner Doris Lessing.

“Adore has a phenomenal cast, a provocative storyline and filmmakers with an outstanding pedigree,” said Amy Reinhard, executive vice president and general manager of Paramount Domestic Home Media Distribution. “We are really looking forward to working in tandem with Exclusive Media to bring this compelling film to a wide variety of platforms for the in-home consumer.”

In addition to VOD, PHMD will be distributing the film on disc and via digital platforms in the U.S. and the U.K. PHMD will also handle all TV licensing in the UK and basic cable sales in the US. Set in an Australian seaside town of otherworldly beauty, Adore follows two women’s plunge into uncharted waters as they explore the intricacies of love, family, morality and passion. Watts and Wright deliver riveting performances as two life-long friends who become romantically involved with each other’s sons.
