Naomi Watts ditches her signature blonde tresses in favour of new red locks... but it's all for her role in the film Three Generations. She is best known for playing the blonde damsel in distress in 2005's King Kong reboot.
But Naomi Watts' next project has her looking almost unrecognisable.
The star showed off a new red hairstyle while on the New York City set of Three Generations on Tuesday morning.
The British-born beauty seemed to be rocking an auburn-coloured weave as she can usually be seen with a much lighter, natural hair color.
Naomi was dressed appropriately for the day of filming in the Big Apple as she wore two scarves over a beige sweater. One of the shawls was plain beige while the other was checked blue and grey as she completed the look with black pinstripe trousers and black leather boots.

Her face looks roundish, healthy look.
She has tried dark hair before, in The Painted Veil, which was great. Not sure about red though, but I'm confident she can do anything.
Thank you for Naomi.
It is not red, it's auburn, like reddish-brown, and I think it fits her perfectly. That's teh thing I love the most about her, the way she transformers into whatever character she's playing.
With that hair and look she looks so much like Nicole Kidman!
From the photos, the trio looks convincing enough.
Yeah I thought the same thing, she reminds me of Kidman, who has worn lately that kind of hair-colour.
