Shopping and eating along the way NYC - Oct 1, 2010

Naomi was seen shopping in NYC on Oct 1, 2010 and eating a bowl of soup along the way as if she was in a hurry and did not have the time to sit down for a meal. Interesting sighting after her birthday. I've more images in HQ on the forum. Please check them out by clicking [here].

[Breaking News] Naomi in negotiation for a possible new movie w/Dakota Fanning as mother and daughter

Naomi Watts Considering Helping Dakota Fanning Through Cancer
By Katey Rich, 2010-09-30

Jenny Downham's novel "Before I Die" sounds like an intense but, from the description in the New York Times review, worthwhile experience. It's a novel narrated by a 16-year-old girl dying of leukemia, describing her every experience and emotion and pain as she slowly makes her way toward a death she knows is coming. Yeah, I know. Not only does it sound like a challenging book but pretty much an impossible movie, and yet director Ol Parker is giving an adaptation a shot, with Dakota Fanning in the lead role.

Woody’s Win
By Susan G. Cole, NOW/vol 30 no 5

Woody Allen may have personal flaws, but you have to give him credit – they seem to fuel his best work. Nobody knows human motivation like he does.

“Be careful what you wish for” is the message in his latest sly entry, which tracks the desires and anxieties of people who go the distance – and a bit too far – to chase their dreams.

When Helena (Gemma Jones) gets dumped by Alfie (Anthony Hopkins), her daughter Sally (Naomi Watts) sends her to a seer she knows is a charlatan. Sally, in the meantime, starts working for hot gallery owner Greg (Antonio Banderas) to help pay the bills, because hubby and failing writer Roy (Josh Brolin) – who’s busy spying on the girl next door (Freida Pinto) – can’t.

Naomi's birthday shopping & romantic night out

Celebrating her 42nd birthday, Naomi was spotted out and about with Liev in New York City last night (Sep 28) and looked to be enjoying themselves as they strolled through the trendy SoHo neighborhood before going for dinner and drinks as the paparazzi looked on. Naomi seemed to be very happy with the occasion and couldn't resist smoking a cigarette which she had given up a long time ago prior to her first pregnancy.

Happy 42th Birthday Naomi !

The Wilsons on their players in 'Fair Game"

Valerie Plame, in an interview at Cannes talked a little bit about "Fair Game" (excerpt):

Q: I know your were at Cannes, with both Countdown To Zero and Fair Game. How was it having two films, the latter of which makes even further public a very difficult part of your personal life.

A: I have to say I had an inner smile watching both at Cannes, because in Fair Game there's a scene, which was true, where I was called nothing more than a glorified secretary, in the hopes of making it all a mountain-out-of-a-molehill type of thing, and in Countdown To Zero I get to speak about my expertise and how I was more than a secretary, and very much involved and engaged in operations. What a once-in-a-lifetime experience — the odds that I would have two films at Cannes in the same year could not be calculated by the physicists at Los Alamos, but I was there and found the people-watching to be extraordinary. It was the first time that Joe (Wilson) and I had seen it projected on the big screen. I think Naomi (Watts) and Sean (Penn) give brilliant performances. It's kind of hard for us to (see) it personally, but I can look at Sean and see how he captured Joe, and Joe can look at Naomi and see how he captured me. It's interesting in that way.
