NAOMI WATTS is deep in negotiations to make a film in Sydney early next year, a co-production between Australian and Hollywood interests.
''I try to get back to Sydney at least once a year. With two kids and Liev's [partner American actor Liev Schreiber] career, we try to juggle what is going to work best for everyone and hopefully I can do this film in Sydney. That would be great,'' Watts told PS last weekend on Hamilton Island, declining to divulge any more details on the project.
''It's been a tough time for making films, not just in Australia but everywhere. This project would be a great thing if it happens, and hopefully it will.''
Juggling two boys - Alexander, 4, and Samuel, 2 - along with a partner with his own demanding acting career, poses serious challenges.

Naomi is Marilyn reincarnation
Looking at an old black & white photo taken of Marilyn Monroe in 1957 by Sam Shaw side by side with the latest Plum Hamptons magazine cover with Naomi makes me believe that Naomi is a reincarnation of the eternal sex icon. And I want to ask when will she begin shooting "Blonde"? It has been delayed since January, and I can't wait. :(

Audi Australia has today announced a brand new partnership with actress, Naomi Watts.
The announcement was made by Audi Australia’s managing director, Uwe Hagen, at an invitation-only dinner held on Friday 26 August in Watts‘ honour during Audi Hamilton Island Race Week 2011.
The setting for the Audi-hosteddinner was the stunning Long Pavilion at qualia Resort on Hamilton Island. An 8-course menu was created by Vue de monde’s Shannon Bennett (see attached).Guests included fellow Audi Ambassadors, Collette Dinnigan, Shannon Bennett and Catriona Rowntree; Suze de Marchi, Gail Elliott and Joe Coffey, Deke and Eve Miskin, Kylie Speer, Kelly Landry and Anthony Bell, and Uwe Hagen, managing director of Audi.
The guest of honour arrived at the event dressed by friend and fellow Audi Ambassador, Collette Dinnigan, wearing a stunning design from Dinnigan’s just-unveiled Resort 2011-12 collection.
Speaking at the dinner, managing director of Audi,Uwe Hagen said the company was delighted to welcome someone of Naomi Watts’ stature to join Audi’s brand ambassador program.

British-born, Hollywood actress Naomi Watts arrived on Hamilton Island yesterday in order to both attend Audi Hamilton Island Race Week, one of Australia's premier social and sporting events, and a special celebratory dinner for her becoming Audi's newest ambassador.
Other celebrities to have attended this year’s event include novelist Kathy Lette, British supermodel turned designer Gail Elliott, Australian designer Collette Dinnigan, Australian celebrity chef Matt Moran and UK publishing guru Deke Misken who attended with his designer wife Eve, who launched her own new swimwear label Misken Martinez earlier in the week.
Academy Award nominated Naomi Watts stayed at Qualia, Hamilton Island’s exclusive resort, joining the long list of celebrities who have also been guests there.
In this photo, Naomi is wearing a silver Collette Dinnigan sheath, with make-up by MAC.

FOR the next two weeks, the Gold Coast will be Naomi Watts' playground while actor-partner Liev Schreiber films the new PJ Hogan movie Mental.
The couple were spotted out and about at the weekend after Watts arrived from Hamilton Island, despite horrible weather delaying her flight.
Watts, Schreiber and PJ Hogan enjoyed dinner at Ristorante Fellini at Marina Mirage in Main Beach on Saturday night, and the restaurant reported the status: "So I hear Naomi Watts and Leiv Shrieder are in town, so which restaurant do they dine on there first night?"
The couple are here with their sons Alexander (Sasha), 4, and Samuel, 2 and are said to be staying at Palazzo Versace.
Also on the Coast is Toni Collette, who is filming alongside Schreiber.

The actress surprised guests of Audi Hamilton Island Race Week last night by flying in for a degustation dinner hosted by Melbourne chef Shannon Bennett at luxury resort Qualia.
