Naomi has recreated Princess Diana's visit to an Angolan minefield. She has spent the summer filming memorable moments from the beloved royal's life as part of new biopic, 'Diana', and recently tackled the Angola scene - which is considered one of Diana's bravest moments.

Naomi was spotted walking across the field in a flak jacket and ballistic helmet - just like the princess had done 15 years ago - before stopping to pose with a young landmine victim, known as Sandra Tigica, who had lost a leg.

All the while she was in the blue Red Cross blouse that Diana had worn on her trip to draw international attention to the danger of landmines in 1997.

The photocall in Angola, taken just seven months before her death, is thought to be the reason behind the ban on anti-personnel landmines known as the Ottawa Treaty - drafted and signed the following December after her death.

The pair held hands and checked out several pieces at the annual event, which raised $750,000 for the New York Academy of Art. “I wanted to buy that, but it was already sold,” she said to Eileen Guggenheim, referring to a painting by Aliene de Souza Howell. Instead, the actress took home an Alison Simmons sketch for $13,200 that she won in the live auction. “I’ve spent too much money tonight,” Watts was overheard telling a guest.

Naomi meeting Maria Belon (video)

Below is an excerpt of a face-to-face meeting between Naomi and Maria Belon recorded in Spain during the premiere of "The Impossible" there earlier this week - it is very touching all the way.   Beware of a very poor audio transmission caused mainly by voiceover translation though the quality of the video is generally good. The entire meeting in video is over an hour long and recorded in 2 sessions. Here, first & exclusive for our Naomi fans, is the best and most emotional part - the cream of the cake.
